Preserving History for Future Generations
The Fort Nisqually Foundation and the Fort Nisqually Endowment support annual operating costs of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, as well as funding for special projects. Your donations really do make a difference in preserving and interpreting this valuable historic asset.

We encourage you to give to projects that excite your passion for Fort Nisqually. 

We are currently raising funds for:

• Capital Campaign - Restoration of Historic 1850 Granary: The Fort Nisqually Foundation is raising funds for the restoration/stabilization of the Granary at Fort Nisqually Living History Museum. This project will preserve the Granary for future generations by dismantling the building, realigning the walls and installing stabilizing elements to ensure the structural stability of this National Historic Landmark while retaining the historic fabric of the building. • General Operating Support - Your gift for general operating support goes toward supporting the ongoing activities of Fort Nisqually Living History Museum, including education programming, artifact conservation and historical interpretation.  Learn more . . .
  
  
• Endowment - The Dr. Jerry V. Ramsey and Elaine Perdue Ramsey Fund for Fort Nisqually was established in 1999. These funds are permanently invested and interest income used to provide a long-term source of funding for Fort Nisqually's programs and activities.   Learn more . . .
  
  
• Scholarship Fund - The Fort Nisqually Foundation provides scholarships to low income elementary school classes to cover the expenses associated with an educational field trip to Fort Nisqually Living HIstory Museum. The Foundation also offers an annual scholarship for graduate and post-gradute students studying northwest history, museumology or other related humanities fields. Learn more . . .
