The Mission of the Fort Nisqually Foundation is to pursue all available sources of funding to support the restoration, preservation, historical interpretation and education programs of Fort Nisqually, a restored Hudson's Bay Company trading post and living history museum.

Purchase artifacts related to Fort Nisqually history and fund conservation work on delicate items in the collection.
Provide dedicated funds each year to support programs and events specifically geared toward children.

Special events, like the annual Candlelight Tour, are even more special thanks to the Fort Nisqually Foundation's financial support.
Purchase books, documents and other historic records to promote historical research by students, scholars and genealogists.
Thanks to the generosity of several local foundations, the Fort Nisqually Foundation was able to fund new orientation exhibits for the fort's Visitor Center.
